Expert Services

AGF's founding partners have decades of field experience backed by in-depth technical knowledge.  One partner is an engineer; the others are IICL certified.  Together, they provide a comprehensive offering of inspection services to meet your needs:

On-Hire Inspections

We provide an in-depth assessment of the equipment's condition, clearly and concisely documenting all conditions and repairs made prior to on-hire. This means you are fully aware of the condition of the equipment you lease, and also helps limit your liability at off-hire.

AGF's reporting forms are the most detailed in the industry, ranging from a one-page analysis of containers and chassis, to a six-page assessment of refrigerated containers.  Digital photos are provided upon request.

Off-Hire Inspections

AGF minimizes customer costs by maximizing repair estimate reductions.  We thoroughly evaluate damage conditions to ensure:

- damages exceed IICL guidelines
- minimum required repair methods
- labor and materials accurately reflect required repairs
- maximum economies of scale realized for overlapping,
  multiple or same-type repairs

Third party damages are flagged and digitally documented upon request.

In-Service Inspections

AGF also provides the documentation you need to efficiently assign third-party liability and collect for damages caused by equipment mishandling.  Our thorough evaluation of damage conditions ensures:

- minimum required repair methods
- labor and materials accurately reflect required repairs
- maximum economies of scale realized for overlapping,
  multiple or same-type repairs

Third party damages are flagged and digitally documented upon request.

Condition Surveys

We are often asked to survey equipment that has sustained major damage.  Our highly detailed reports and photos document:

 - damage conditions
 - required repairs
 - repair costs
 - constructive total loss

We also provide an opinion on the cause of damage and liable party.

Pre-Purchase Inspections

A pre-purchase inspection is the most cost-effective way to ensure you get the equipment you are paying for.  For equipment intended for international shipping, a pre-purchase inspection is imperative to ensure the equipment meets documentation and shipping criteria.

Our track record on container pre-purchase inspections is impeccable.  In all the years AGF has been in business, no terminal or shipping line has rejected a container we deemed suitable for transport.

We provides a number of pre-purchase inspections, including:

- ground storage
- wind and watertight
- CSC
- cargo worthy
- sea worthy
- IICL condition
- road worthy condition for chassis

Our clear and concise forms provide a succinct record of equipment condition and details any special customer requests.
